Friday March 16, 2012 South Weldon's STEM HS and Roanoke Rapids HS Students enrolled in the Jr.ROTC program received high honors from the U.S. Army Military. I felt very fortunate to attend this momentous celebration, as a guest of Weldon's Mayor Meacham who has been so gracious to introduced me to many local leaders of Halifax County.
I apologize for the poor quality of the videos that follow but if you were not at this special event to celebrate our H.S. students' achievements. Here's an opportunity to sit back, relax and experience short segments of the program. Mayor Meacham stated, that "it was a great event" and I absolutely agree.
