Unveiling “Rocky” aka Striped Bass for the first time along the Roanoke River Rapids banks and shadows of the Roanoke Valley, Meacham chose strategic points downtown to make Rocky’s presence known to residents and visiters. She finalized Weldon’s more than impressive brand of "Rocky" with a huge splash by unveiling a spectacular replica of the Striped Bass (16ft long & 8ft high) aimed to lure fishing enthusiasts and attract tourists from all over the world to Weldon’s yearly spring fishing tournaments and events.
