Controlled Fire in Weldon Training for Firefighters

Closing the gap between  needed community changes and the process of community development to attract more families and local businesses to Weldon continues at a rapid pace.

One highlight of this week was a controlled house fire by the Weldon Fire Department.

The Chief explained that it was a controlled fire for training purposes and to rid Weldon of abandoned houses. The Chief and crew did a great job by announcing the controlled fire drill at the town hall meeting and controlling the fire.
